Beyblade Characters List

Beyblades is a a popular television show that first appeared in Japan and since then has made it to North American television. It originated as a spin toy that was later developed into a comic magazine. Both the comic and the television show trail a group of young kids that are recognized as “Beyblade Masters”. The Beyblade Masters all compete in a world Beyblade championship and in between compete against each other to hone their skill set. The battling Beyblades are made-up of different components, which can be interchanged to produce different attacks, while in battle. These components include weight disks, attack rings and blade bases.

Characters

Tyson Granger (Takao Kinomiya)

He is a strong willed kid and nicknamed “The Champ” due to his ability overcome obstacles and challenges even the toughest of Beyblade competitors without fear. At 15, he is still an adolescent, but has the composure of an adult. He developed his reputation after defeating Tala. His best friend is Max, a fellow Beyblader that he met in the series’ first episode. His Beyblade is the “Beast Dragon”, which uses the power of wind to create tornadoes and hurricanes and throws it at his opponents.

Kai Hiwatari

Kai is the former world champion and is a teammate of Tyson. Although they are supposed to be together, he has always held resentment towards Tyson because Tyson defeated him in a battle and became the new champion. His jealousy has led him to conspire with the evil “Boris” and previously try to take over the world using Bit Beasts. Boris had promised Kei “Black Dranzer” as a prize, which is considered an ultimate Beyblade that can absorb the bit beasts of losing opponents. He is older than the other bladers and is 16.

Max Tate

Max is most notably known for his friendship with Tyson and is a member of the BBA Revolution. He has a lively personality that seems to inspire his teammates during battle and is most often considered the glue hold the whole team together. His father owns a Beyblade shop and through this shop has learned how to repair and add components to all blades. He uses a Water Turtle in battles, which has a hard shell as a defensive maneuver, which provides him time to overcome his opponents.

Ray Kon

At 15 years old, Ray Kon is the same age as most of his teammates. He was a former member of the White Tigers, but defected for the BBA Revolution. Upon his leaving, he received the Driger Beyblade. The Ray Bit Beast Driger mimics its owner, Ray and is calm and cool, but uses his claws and spiritual attacks in battles.

Daichi Sumeragi

At 12 years old, Daichi is the youngest blader in the show. He utilizes the Strata Dragoon is also part of the BBA Revolution team. He appears in the show sparingly and does not always compete like the others, yet is still a valuable member.
